My red skunk cleaner shrimp always hangs upside down in one of my LR caves. Today, I'm checking him out and he got a little aggressive towards my coral beauty. I saw him sticking his white two front "pokers" (for lack of a better word) on the coral beauty and he was clawing at him. The coral beauty didn't move, he seemed to enjoy it actually. lol

Are the red skunks known to be aggressive at all? I didn't see any harm done to either of them....a swift knock on the glass seperated them and they seem to both be ok now.

o that is perfectly normal and actually really good!!!

The cleaner shrimp was cleaning the coral beauty. They pick off parasites, dead skin, and bacteria colonies. You coral beauty was swimming up beside the shrimp to "allow" it to jump on and clean... no need to worry, just a symbiotic relationship ;)

It is a cool and very normal behaviour. My Fire Shrimp does the same thing with my Pygmy Angel and my Tang. They are only cleaning parasites off the fish and out of the tank. Good Luck
