the red slime bacteria seems to be dissolving. It just seems to be going away but at the same time it seems like a lime greenish yellow color around the edges of the red bacteria.its a 75 gallon tank deep sand bed some live rock a few fish and a crappy canister filter(magnum350 all was given to me)tank tests good and i do regular water changes i cut back the light and the feeding.any input.will try to post some pics.thank you

Wow.. have you changed anything? have you tried manually removing any of it? How often do you feed and what kind of clean up crew do you have? I would think that your params are good because everything is being used up by the algae.

i dont have anything far as a clean up crew the panther grouper shown is about 4" now eats like a hog so he would eat just about anything small enough to put in his mouth.as far as feeding I feed raw shrimp from the market save money that way.i really need to save for a better filter and buy a protein skimmer.its just i adopted this new family so time are tough.take my water in to be tested once a week nitrates always seems to be high the owner says it has some to do with having a canister filter.i do a lot of water changes seems to make a difference.thanks for your interest

you need more current in a 75 then just that 1- 1500

    Use carbon?

you need more than just that canister.......go with a sump if you can

    Do you have a Skimmer?
