red slime remover

    I used an airstone when I used it too. The reason is that this chemical oxidizes very well and uses up all of the oxygen within the tank. You have to be really careful if you don't use an airstone.

    ya ive put the return part of my tank up high in the water to create a o2 exchange

    day 1 of slime remover, its been goign for about 12 hours now. It looks like all the slime is turning into hair style im guessing its breaking it down and making it do this with the current. Idk i guess ill see later tonite when I turn the skimmer on I may have to do a second dose for this thing. Have you guys that have used this had it occur like this I though it would just disappear

    I only did one dose but It came back a month later. I have a little right now.
    I didn't use an airstone but I don't have a lot of heavy fish load to use up the oxygen.

    its better to siphon out the dead stuff or stringy stuff or the slime just comes back

    maybe if u would've use the airstone it wouldnt have come back lol 8)

    K after a long battle today I think I triumphed over it. I sucked alot of it off and soon as that happened crabs went nuts. They were on my rocks liek white on rice eating the hell outta whatever was there, hopefully with the lights off for 3 days, the herms and snails will take care of the rest
