The first rocks put in my tank were the base rock and some really bright violet live rock. the base rock is starting to grow the algea the lr has, but is also forming violet spots. will the base rock be totally cover in this color? hopefully i get some good replies i would love for the base rock to turn violet fully.

    Hello!

It's really difficult to tell from that picture....

If it is violet coralline algae, you can scrape it and let the pieces float and it should spread :D Just scrape the color you want...

Yup, coraline algea. Can range from pink to red to violet to green in color. I don't do anything and the stuff is all over my rocks.
