Reddogs tank teardown and substrate replacement thread

Awsome job!! I like your aquascape did you use anything to hold your rock in place
or just balance and fit?

 

Its crazy the before and after pics were taken with the same camera and the same lights were in the hood.It looks so much bluer with the sand bouncing the light.

I wish i could get better pics.It looks amazing in person.I will keep trying.Maybe a video

 

Balanced fit but tomorrow im going to tie it together with heavy monofilament.

 

Iv finished my first round of water tests and are as follows

Before-Mag 1395
Cal 425
Alk 11.3
S.G 1.025

After Mag 1215
Cal 395
Alk 11.5
S.G 1.024

Appears iv got some work to do.Just added some Mag suppliment and will bring up the Calcium tomorrow.

On a side note I saved about 3-4 lbs of live rock from the main tank and a few lbs of sand and threw it all in that ten gallon i used to hold the livestock so iv got a new nano to cycle!!!

Thanks. Im not really good just lucky.Im still trying to get better pics or a video.The blue+ bulbs are just washing out my camera no matter what I do.This scape has everything though.Caves,Arches,sand channels,shelves,depth and lots of SAND.Im soo happy with it and my livestock seems to be also!

 

That was very bright blue and purple.8)
