It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Very nice.

I really like the beer bottle.

Good PE on all the softies.

The tank sure looks a lot bigger than 11 gallons.

And yes I agree you can run an attractive tank with very little filtration. Low bio-load and know the limitations. I have 2 fish in a 28 gallon, and that is all I want. Chempure some GFO a sponge and water changes and that is it. I have gone big with all the bells and whistles now I am chilling.

    Again nice tank

Sweet tank, I really like the dimensions. I really love my bow, but I wish I went with some sort of nano long tank instead like yours.

    Thanks guys!

Every reef I set up (at least, the ones for simply viewing pleasure) will just be ghetto simple reefs. For me it's all about the coral, and that small handful of fish you just can't go without. And as long as you aren't stocking corals that must be fed a lot, you can really pack out a tank.

In these small tanks (or really any tank with severely limited filtration) you have to accept some things, and I am positive there are a bunch of corals I can't keep in this tank because of chemical warfare. Mostly certain SPS, so far as I can tell.

There is a reason I used the word "approx". It's actually like 8.5" wide/tall.

The funniest thing about this is that I am a seminary student, living on campus of a very conservative Baptist seminary (Southeastern Baptist, in Wake Forest NC). We sign a covenant, on day 1 of being a student, that we don't touch alcohol while we are a student. And I got a beer bottle in my aquarium.

It's by far my favorite decoration, ever.

Added a Tiger goby several weeks ago, and had not seen him since. He is tiny, but this tank isn't all that big either. I just assumed he had died or was eaten by a fuzzy mushroom or something. Then today he just popped up, looking healthy.

Elacatinus macrodon. I cannot believe I was able to get these pics of him. He's not even 3/4" long.

Lol motivated by a near total lack of funds, some very generous friends, and an ambitious willingness to experiment and take risks lol
