Lol I have a random, but awesome, mushroom that popped up today and I have no idea where it came from. It's turquoise with small light-orange dots all over it. I'll try to get a pic later.

Started dosing kalkwassar in my top-off water to help combat the dinoflagellate bloom. Still not plague-proportions, but I don't want it to get there. It's because I skipped about a week of dosing Vit c powder.

I very, very, very rarely buy live rock, it's against my religion lol. Too many pests. This tank was mostly dry rock with only a couple of seeded rocks from another system (in this case, a reef farm vat that's pretty heavily probed for pests, but has enormous amounts of other beneficial hitchhikers).

I suspect this mushroom was on a rock I got with various mushrooms on it a while back, and it floated away from the main rock..... but it doesn't match the others (which are the common greens)

Going to have to start counting corals soon. In the coming 2-6 months we will be moving across the state, perhaps into another state. Going to need bags or even clear plastic containers like you get at the Deli for moving them. I have a gi-normous cooler that will easily hold everything (individually packed), including some of the tank water.

Given that the tank is so small, this shouldn't be a terribly huge ordeal, I'll make it the last thing I pack and the first thing I set up, and I can put it in a temporary place since it's not an extensive setup.

Got a ton of pics. Because of camera color and LED color trickery, the backgrounds look a bit odd, but these corals actually do look like this in person.

FTS, 5/20/2012. Pardon the streaks on the glass.

    Yellow/green polyps

Beautiful turquoise acro, someone help me ID this. Growing quite well (encrusting mostly for now).

True Palythoa (notice they spread on a mat)

    Tigertail zoas
    [IMG]

    Snowflake anthelia/cloves
    [IMG]

    Blue people-eaters
    [IMG]

    Orange mushroom
    [IMG]

    Neon green toadstool
    [IMG]

    Several monti frags and turbinaria
    [IMG]

Aussie metallic star polyps growing on glass.

    Dragon-eye zoas and monti undata.

Green staghorn monti (anyone know the latin name?)

Palythoa grandis and yellow fiji leather.

Frogspawn (this is not a hammer despite the shape of the tentacles; they are definitely branched with many irregular shaped tentacles.)

Two blastos. These were literally a "frag plug" for a small leather I bought, and when I got the leather home, the frag plug suddenly "blossomed". It was an old skeleton that regenerated lol. Needless to say, 2 for 1 deal, and i like the blastos more than the leather.
