Redline 100 HELP - trying to get it put together

I have the fitting on the pump and the whole skimmer together but I have no idea where the little hose with the black lid with the hole on it goes?!?


does it just sit on the side in the little hose holder and collect air??

 

i think the black thing i was refering to is the air intake line and input.


Now all I need to know if my smimmer is working correctly i have it up to the white cone there's a little white foam at the top maybe 8 mm worth or so

 

I have the model 125 which is the same thing just a couple inches bigger. The bubbles go to the cone I will actually put mine on the base of the inside of the cup. Its a cool skimmer just no adjustments. mine pulls a ton of gunk out of my red sea max. I have it in a custom sump I built. If sound is not an issue the thing works much better without that black muffler(direct from PM on this) the muffler is just for that.... Noise
