You have a lot of rock and coral for a 90 gal tank. It's going to be tricky to aquascape without losing some of that rock or having it too close to the front glass. Consider carefully what you want, the look you want. You may want to sell some of your rock.

I would plan to do this all in one day. You need to put your corals in container's. The fish go in another container. The rock has to to be out in plain view to work with so get your ducks all in a row and things will be fine. I would plan on a 50% water change at the same time.

The placement of the rock is #1 priority so suck the water all the way down on the tank to within 4" to 8" of the bottom. You'll be able to see what your doing. Don't get caught up with where this particular rock goes and that particular rock goes. Just use the best size rock you can find and stack SOLIDLY. Stack certain rocks with corals attached to the rock in two ways, either as part of the structure or leaning up against the reef. That is the key. Once you have the rock stacked put the water in slowly. Add your corals as the water moves up the rocks. Toss in the fish and have plenty of floss to filter out the haze. It's not as bad as it all sounds when you have a plan. Good luck.:)

Thanks. I'm getting started now. I didn't think to take out all the water, but I don't have room for it anyway. I have a 60g sump and about 45g in totes. So I can't empty. But I can still get most. Good Idea. I let you know how it goes.

So here she is. I'm so stoked. It turned out better than I had hoped.

I wound up removing 40 lbs of rock . Sold to a local that was moving up. I like the right side up to the glass. I didn't leave much space for the fish, but they still get in just fine.

I really love how my left side turned out. The tonga branch and lace rock worked perfectly.

I was mostly unusable before. Now it is a great end. All the fish swim in it.

    And here is the side.

The water still needs to clean up. The corals are not set yet. Just wanted them in a safe place. I will dork around with it tomorrow, but the major work is done. I'm so happy.

Thanks guys. I know the right side just looks like another wall, but it is actually quite sloped. Lots of places to put coral. The top row is easily removed and there is a solid flat bench underneath, so future moves will be real easy. You can't see it, but that bench is actually off the sand. Much more surface area open on the sand.

Actually, I know that because first time I stacked it up, I didn't have much rock left. Put water in and realized I stacked another wall. Removed some off the face and top to the bench and it's all good now.

I'm glad it's done. I expect a mini cycle with as traumatic as it is.
