    IMPO I would scrap the check valve. Just make sure and set the sump up correctly and there is no need for it. it is just one more thing that will fail.

    I think we Have it good to go, Dads Cutting the Glass right now (for dividers) (we are gonna plexiglass route with this) And siliconing it and getting the piping all set, that will be tonight's project. And tomorrow I can relax and let it all cure. And Sunday We will be putting it up!

    Since Im running a T off the intake to the sump into a separate compartment for some chaeto, Could i add a small layer of course sand to it? or would that Hinder the process?

    Thanks for the reassurance. I think it should work nicely adding a little sand to the one chamber. Half tempted to Transport a bristle worm or two from the display at night to give it some fun :)

    The sounds from your splashing clowns are soon to be drown out by the noise of a noisy overflow lol... I kept telling myself for the longest time i was going to build one of these
    Hofer Gurgle Buster Construction).

    But now i've gotten used to the noise. Who needs one of those soothing sound machines to fall asleep when you've got an overflow box? Ha ha.
