    I agree, stability is key (within ranges). But these changes were within the last few weeks and I think were necessary. Growth and color deteriorated in January.

    Mag was 1600

    Alk was 5+

    Salinity was 1.031

    I think those were my major issues to growth loss etc.

    Well I did a 50% water change and my alk. skyrocketed past 5.0/14 dKH. I think my test kit is off. Everything should be in check now with all of the water changes I've done. I'll be going slow and letting it grow now.;)

    I think the hanna checkers alk test goes for like 50 tests before needing more Reagent.

    How would you compare their accuracy to that of Redsea or salifert?

    I myself have never used them, I thought about picking a couple up but ended up going with Salifert kits.
