Started on the floor today. [IMG][IMG]

When I removed the carpet after purchasing the house, there were pieces of concrete that came up so I had to repair the perimeter of the room. [IMG][IMG]

I have to wait three days before I can go to the next phase. Friday the cable company will be moving my computer connection to another room so I can fully dedicate the room to the tank.

Yeah Bruh, u are doing it right. It will pay off huge. Besides the journey is as important as the destination!

That is the mantra for my build too. It's not going as fast as I like, but I'm taking the time to get it right, who h will payoff huge dividends once its ready. Keep on keeping on, you're doing great.

Definately take your time. My new tank took me a year and a half to design and finally execute. And it is the 4th reef tank that I have built out in my adult life...so lots of lessons learned went into this tank. I will say without any hesitation, it is worth the wait, and taking the time to do it right. My current tank is it for me. its as big as I could fit through the door in my house and in the wall....so I wanted to do it perfect. that being said...in 12 years when my daughter goes off to college...we may move....and I will have a really big tank built into that new house....see that...already planning :)

Well I have to say I've been on this new build 15 months. I just fixed my organization problem because I was thinking ahead and realized I needed to do certain things first before I can accomplish a task.

Well I have the computer moved and now I have this problem.

The cable company said that they don't remove wires. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Where are you trying to move them to? Cable company installers are idiots when it comes to general wiring. They won't fish walls, they would rather drill a hole in your hardwood floor and have a wire come up a foot away from the wall. If you need those wires spliced and relocated, I'd call an electrician. If you need them removed, just cut them, and stuff them back into the wall...cat5 and or coaxial cables will not harm anything.

Pay my way down and i'll take care of it for you :) ok now seriously... are the lines still active? Is your computer or anything else
plugged into them? Those kind of look like the lines that are going through the wall to the outside of your house but basically we need
to try and track them down to see where they are going. If they aren't and let me repeat "ARE NOT" active then just cut them. If they
are active and especially if they are the main feeds from the outside then we got a bit more to deal with... If they are active, go to
Homedepot and pick up some RG 59/6 ends, crimp/compression are better but you need a special tool for that, you can get cheap ones but whatever.
They also have twist on ends you can just do by hand or with some pliers for extra measure. These aren't the best for outdoor uses though
i have gotten away with it here at home. You're also going to need a way to punch through the cinder block if that's the exterior wall.
Hammer drill and a long bit are the best here, aim for the mortar, it's a lot easier to get through. Once you're ready, cut the end off and simply
pull it through and relocate. It's not a bad idea to try and reuse or purchase some of those gromets to protect the wire at your new
hole locations. once relocated, terminate the end per the instructions on the package of RG59/6 connectors and boom. Now, biggest problem
will be if you don't have enough line for where you want to move it to. In this case you'd need to pick up some RG59/6 and run new line.
Its not hard, if you've ever done any kind of electrical or network related lowvoltage this stuff is a piece of cake. Just another time/money thing
    unfortunately.

All that said and i did jump to an assumption that these were indeed RG59/6 cables and not cat5. Cat5 is an oversized telephone looking plug into your computer/router. RG59/6 is the twist on stuff to your cable box/tv ect.

You know, i haven't been on in ages ha i even forgot my username... primary reason i was getting on was to check your thread. funny
