Two won't be overkill in the DT? Does the same theory follow sand sifting gobies also?

Yeah I hadn't heard that before about them dieing of after grazing on everything. Would expect to need a couple for a 125+tank. I have heard that on nudibranchs though. Which is a shame because they look really cool.

I'd get a couple linkas for sure, heck even a large one would look tiny in there I bet. Course you would have to wait for the tank to mature a bit from what I've heard.

I just want the sand maintenance to be accounted for. I"ll work on the linkias later like you said.

I have one SSS in my 250. Moved him over from my 125 when I upgraded. I have had him for years with no issues. He moves around a lot from day to day and really keeps the sand loose which is nice.

Well my luck with them is they don't last long at all. Then again i was young into the game. I believe my failures were adding them to early.

Be careful with acclimation too. Friend of mine that had been in the hobby for years and was key to my entering apparently had tried linkas two or three times and never got one too last more than a week or two. He presumed it was an acclimation problem. My orange linka has been going great now for months. I used the drop method and let the process take a few hours. Been told stars are especially sensitive to water chemistry so that makes sense. I'd love to have a blue and purple one too but then I wouldn't have room for anything else.

I also heard that if they get exposed to air that that's there demise. I was told when acclimating the to release them under water.

Just out of curiosity, have you considered building a sulphur denitrator?

No sir. I am going all natural with this tank. If all fails then I will go back to bio pellets.
