Are calcium reactors placed inside or outside of the sump?

 

Haha just bored and throwing some ideas out. Either way, you're closer than ever to get it cycling.

 

Oh what a momentous and long awaited day that will be!

I will try and make 3reef proud and represent for the forum. Only now if someone will answer my question.

 

Outside I believe
At least the CO2 tank. Not sure about the main reactor body.
EDIT: It appears for the size you'll be using they have external feed pumps and are placed externally.

If you want to save some space around the sump you could do something like melev did and mount it on a box:

 

That is a good idea but considering the protein skimmer requires 8 inches for operation I can't risk it.

I am going to lose the large sum/refugium. I am going to push the sump to one side and place the the refugium parallel to the sump. Then I will have room for the auto top off tank and the other equipment required to operate my tank. Thanks again for your input and pics.

 

Sounds good bruh, does that mean a total sump makeover?

 

I'm keeping the sump and have the other tanks built around it. Plus I can still use my present protein skimmer.
