    Are calcium reactors placed inside or outside of the sump?

    At least the CO2 tank. Not sure about the main reactor body.
    EDIT: It appears for the size you'll be using they have external feed pumps and are placed externally.

    If you want to save some space around the sump you could do something like melev did and mount it on a box:

    That is a good idea but considering the protein skimmer requires 8 inches for operation I can't risk it.

    I am going to lose the large sum/refugium. I am going to push the sump to one side and place the the refugium parallel to the sump. Then I will have room for the auto top off tank and the other equipment required to operate my tank. Thanks again for your input and pics.

    I'm keeping the sump and have the other tanks built around it. Plus I can still use my present protein skimmer.
