You pretty much hit it on the nail. There will be two drains and two emergency drains.

Hopefully two of the three will be in the system. Thanks e. I didn't mean to keep you guys waiting so long..

Thanks Matt. Its an honor for you to take time out your busy schedule to follow up. Yes go big or go home. But they do give a true perspective on the size of the tank other than the pic with me inside.

    Reef Bruh,

You are a true hero and warrior. Staying in the fight even after being injured is being a star on the ultimate team. I find it real interesting that you use the tank as therapy to deal with the emotions of war. I will use the example you are setting to encourage others to discover reef keeping to help deal with PTSD. Any other ideas you may have to help would be appreciated.

    Thanks again!!!
I need some more pix of the Reef Bruh Ocean ASAP :)

Thank you coach. Hero, well those are the ones that didnt make it home. I am just a normal person who did what I thought was right. The Reef Bruh Ocean is on a military budget so it will be a small process before everything comes into play.

As for any additional ideas, never rush, take one day at a time, and always find something to keep your brain occupied. This hobby does that for me.

I plumbed the drains today and what a challenge. As always comments and concerns are always welcomed.

And my makeshift snail blocker for the intakes of the returns.

The tank looks amazing!! Curious, why the ball valves on the drains?

if this is a modification of a herbie or beananimal, (I am assuming it is because the ball valve on the drain) then I recommend cutting the emergency drain about a 1/2" shorter than the overflow teeth, its hard to tell the true height from the pics but it looks level with the teeth. That way if the main drain fails, the water level in the DT doesn't raise above the teeth. Also make sure you have enough water in the return section of your sump to fill up the overflow boxes without running the pump dry. This is all "just in case" the main drain fails, which I doubt will ever happen because those strainers look awesome.

You could also spray paint the return pipe with Krylon Fusion black (I know that Krylon fusion is aquarium safe, but im sure there are more brands that are as well). That way you dont see the white elbows sticking up above the tank. Personal preference really, but I wish I would have painted mine.
