    The emergency drains are not totally inside so it should meet the suggestion you suggested.

    as for the returns that was a mock up. I'm still debating the sea swirls or drilling the back of the tank for returns.

    I polygemed my structures last night. My friend Chris came through and we placed the structures as I liked and we went at it.

    Not sure I like that last one... I'd almost say base rock if needed or toss in sump/fuge. But that's just my opinion.

    I tend to agree. Either use them as base rock, or cover them in corals!
