Depends on how many liters of stones are in the reactor. It is recommended that 100 gph per liter of stones. Considering I have 2 liters of stones in the reactor I am running about 200 gph. You have to pump the reactor 2 times a day to release the mulm on the stones and the smaller particles block the grate in the reactor so placing the smaller ones in the filter bag prevents that.

Your tank is off to a phenomenal start! It looks so great and your aqua scape is spot on for that tank! You have a the entire perimeter available for swim space, all the while still maintaining what seems to be about 36" depth of rock work that has tons of holes, arches, etc. I (and I can only imagine you) can't wait to see this tank grown out with some nice corals. Your wait is over man, congrats! and now you can finally start to kick back and enjoy the fruits of your labor my friend.

And just in time for the holidays! What have you told Santa that you wanted for the tank this year? Assuming you were a good boy... Haha

Thanks Snook. And thanks for being there for the whole ride. I designed the aquascape for that particular reason in case I wanted to add something crazy to the tank. The only noise is the darn protein skimmer. But I think once I place the front fasad on that will dampen the noise. I will do a front view of the tank probably this weekend since the tank will be 1 month old.

All I want for Christmas is a very healthy tank and LOTS and LOTS of colonies.

The skimmer is the loudest part of the system. I wish the recirculating pump was quieter.

The pump came in for my other reactor.

    It's attached to the reactor.

Now I have to rinse 2 more liters of the stones before adding.

I'll second that. I think it's quieter than my 26 gallon!

This diatoms thing is just the tank cycling, no? You might have to ride it out.

Thanks Matt. I know I have to ride it out. I never had them appear so early.
