It's ok ofk. You live and learn. I just hope I didn't mess up the ZeoVit chemistry by doing that.

The losses really suck. If it's any consolation, it's looking like my Zeo has remained stable. Keep dosing and you should be fine.

Next time I need to remove phosphates, it's definitely GFO!

I thought that was you on the other place. The head guy there suggested I double dose the biomate for 2 weeks and then go back to the regular dose after that. Told me to be patient but I shouldve done the LaCl before fish.

Here were how the fish look after I got them out of the tank.

Today was the first exchange I performed on the ZeoVit reactors. So I took 1 liter of stones out of each reactor and replaced them with new stones. I also started dosing the bio mate to help bring down the phosphates as they are down to .22 with all the water changes that I have performed.

Also the past week and a half since my debacle I was doing 25-30 gallon water changes to get the treatment out the tank and today I did a 100 gallon water change. Hopefully I can see the results when I get back home today.

My fish are starting to breathe slower(those that were affected) and eating.

Thanks. Carrying all those jugs puts the size of my tank in perspective. The 100 gallon water change was only for removing what was left of that treatment I did. I only needed to do 25-30 weekly.

I only read a few pages back, but any idea where the Phosphates are coming from?

Glad things are getting better again

Which brand of lanthanum product did you use?
