I should be fine. It's he getting up and laying down I have to be careful because that could delay recovery.

The tank is coming along very well. I love all my tangs. There are two or three more I want and or maybe a small school of tangs I still want to do.

Thanks again for offering to help and I deeply appreciate the comments.

I hear you man. Well do what the doc says and just take it easy. Set up a bed in front of the tank!!

Two or three more tangs would be epic. so would the school of them, anything you could and will do in this aquarium is epic. Lol

    You're welcome Wayne, anytime bud.

You have any suggestions for the schooling tangs? Anyone's but the yellows. Most large builds have yellows.

You're completely right about the yellows being in nearly every large build. I'm not sure if it's because the Zebrasoma genus are naturally schooling or what, but I would assume most in that genus would school together when added together. I would also like to think any grouping of Acanthurus tangs added together would school..... What kind of tangs are currently in there? (*EDIT: I found the one posted on post #2265...
    1 Blue Eye Kole Tang
    1 Red Sea Dejardini Tang
    1 Vlamingi Tang
    1 Blue Hippo Tang
    1 Orange-Shoulder Tang
    1 Achilles Tang
With that list I'm not sure what you would be able to achieve as you've got a several diff genus already in the tank. I don't know the aggression or size/age of any either which makes it hard to say. But you've already got an Achilles, like I said in my bottom portion this would be my choice... And would be the only tangs in there, just bcuz I think that would be different and spectacular.END EDIT*)

Unfortunately I honestly have no idea which exact species of tangs school together, in aquariums, simply bcuz I've never had a large enough tank to try... Although I'm not oblivious to the fact that I've seen yellows school, blues, some powders, but those were on natural reefs ,and other larger aquariums (public and private) but as we all know the reel reefs and our tanks are 2 different worlds. Although you're pretty close to ocean status in that house of yours! Lol

Hopefully someone else can chime in about the tangs. Personally a school of Acanthurus Achilles would be the bees knees to me. But also lots of money. And you'd want small ones to enjoy them for longer,as well as increase the probability of schooling when they're juvis. But any Acanthurus would be dope IMO. Given your current stock could withstand some possible aggression..

I had a small crash on Christmas so I had to start all over. Current tang stock list is:

    Blue Hippo
    Yellow Belly Blue Hippo
    Red Sea Dejardini
    Convict Tang
    Blonde Naso
    Tomini Tang
Purple Tang(in the frag tank now but will move over in the DT hopefully)
Yellow Eye Kole Tang(rarely see him but I think he bit it)
One Spot Foxface(although I know it's not in the tang family).

He's a bunghole in my tank. But I do love him. I haven't thought about doing a school of foxfaces.

    Sea Swirls

I have been looking at getting the sea swirls,,,,,again. Since my returns are already 1 1/2", should I get the same size or buy the 1" model. Something for yall to think about. No quick response is needed.
