This is going to be a difficult but amazing build. Good luck. Can't wait to follow your process and see the final outcome.

    The Stand

The tank stand is finished and finally in place. I have to clean the sump and move it in later.

Not only because it is big but because you are building a lot of the components yourself. Most people take the easy way out and buy everything pre-made.

True. Well the building is finally done. Just waiting on delivery of the tank. Then its a complete sanding, buffing and polishing.

Not yet. I probably wont get the LEDs until after the holidays. I have a daughter graduating college, my son's birthday and of course Christmas all in that month so I can wait until then. I am not in a hurry although I am running out of real estate in my 225.

I served active and reserve from 1982 until 2006. I was severly injured in Iraq in 2004 and was in the hospital until 2006. I didnt get into reefing until my condition was stable and bought my house. They fully retired me with 17 1/2 years in May of this year. My 125 was setup on 1 June 2009. Then I upgraded to my 225 on 19 August 2010. But since I started my condition has improved. In other areas it has decreased because of the water changes. I hope to fix that on this build. I probably wont have this tank running fully until January/February 2011.

Hey bama. Long time no see. I was honored to serve and will do it again if they would let me. I am just a regular champion. The true heroes or champions are the ones that didn't make it home. I was lucky and fortunate.
