Good morning, afternoon, or evening depending on where you are in the world. This is just a small but very important update. Important for me as I finally have my alk stable.

As you know my calcium reactor was having its moments so I started adding kalk to my ATO these past two weeks and I finally have my alkalinity stable the past 7-9 days at 8.5-8.6 dKh but my calcium was still hovering around 390-400. So I had an open head on my dosing pump and started adding calcium and will adjust from there.

I used a CaRx for years with my 180. best way I found using it was to use a probe inside the reactor and then a solenoid to add CO2 when needed. set it at 6.8 and let the controller do the guess work for me. as I needed more for my system I increased the effluent. this seemed to work extremely well.

 

Reef party? I'll make the drive over!

 

I see in the near future I'm going to have to get a controller for that to make it happen. So far so good.

Everything is going fine. I haven't updated lately as I got married on the 11th so it's been crazy the past 2-3 weeks. Parameters are stable and just been keeping up with the regular maintenance.
