mm2002 is right on with that. I used to do that when I had to sand down the primer prior to the car being painted...this was many moons ago too. Scary lol.

Keep up the good work. Great advice on refinishing... the same thing the Old Man does on high gloss enamel I was telling you about.

Thank you for standing watch over me.

Those are pretty cool. I got interested in the flow articles linked below that. No time to read them now though. Like you said, the center over flow hurts.

It's funny when I see some articles claiming this or that is "better". Depends on the tank. That pump is a monster of a pump and puts out a stream. Obviously we will have to wait for samller ones to see how they are. But it is the same thing as stream pumps by Tunze. Depends on the tank. Obviously a "stream" will move more water, but not if you have it in front of a reef blasting anything you put in front of it. Vortechs are so great because they move so much water with such a diffuse flow.... but not if it is 10 feet long with little rock work. So it depends.

So ya for the above, great looking pump if you have the application. I've told you I would like a cube or wide tank with a gyre flow... but if I had to do a rectangle, like 60x30 say... I have thought about stacking rock work to the back wall sort of like normal to have some realestate up front... but then leave the rock work away from the back wall more than normal... then use one of theose Hydor two way pumps... the ones that look like a torpedo... so up front you could still get two Vortechs and get some good flow and switch back and forth for the gyre... and then the pump hidden in back could help the circulation back and forth. No point for expensive vortechs behind rock work. It could work.

So ya, just depends what you want to do, and what pumps you need to accomplish that.

I know I said I wasn't going to do anything today but a bug was put into my ear about this buffing compound that is better than Novus. I used it and I have to say they were right. It worked to good. So back to square one.
