    Yea. Pour the sand in the jugs and place them in the tank and let them fill up with the tank water. Once full one at a time turn it over and let gravity allow the sand to fall into the tank. Once the sand is out take the jug out. Should cut down the cloudiness drastically.

    I did that last night but I hadn't rinsed any sand yet and forgot to turn off the powerheads haha so I still had a nice storm

    RB! Wow, its been awhile since I seen this thread. I thought I just skipped out for awhile but looks like I didnt miss that much...


    Nice looking skimmer... I am considering getting a pump for the Reef Octopus I have in the garage and seeing how it works.

    Glad you are back Pickup. Yes its been slow and for the past two months I have been doing some traveling myself. I currently have a mag 3 running on mine but I think that is under kill. Which Reef Octopus do you have?

    Not sure. it was gifted to me thru some friends. it does not have a pump. it is rated fro a 250 form what I remember. it is an older model reef octopus. large body. short cone.

    It was suggested to get a bubbleblaster 5000 for it but I dont have the change for one of those. I have a dead pump at home that is supposedly the ones shipped withit originally. i think they were made by sicce...

    That pump is a 600 gph pump so maybe a mag 7 or any pump equivalent should be fine.

    What are you talkin about pickupman alot has happened just not all of it foward progression!! Haha it's all good Bruh big builds take alot of time and alot more money! I'll be following this through till you get corals in this bad boy! Oh and I still plan on doing the water jugs for the sand, my water had cleared up alot and I like being able to c my rocks!!
