ah yes, I will have to remember that concept. I just need more room in stand so I can easily work on my sump and equipment.

That's kinda funny because as big as this build is I was thinking the same thing about room underneath the stand. The sump and protein skimmer almost takes half the room of the stand.

You will be the first to know. Well I will know first. You will catch the aftermath of the celebration or failure in a good way lololol.

Did you consider adding another piece underneath? Also I am not real familiar with bonding acrylic but do you think it would help to ruff it up with sandpaper before welding it? And not trying to be a know it all jerk but I would probably caulk around the edge of the piece with a good bead of aquarium silicone for extra protection (after the acrylic weld cures of course). Man I want this to work hurry up already.LOL;)8)

Silicone will only last so long. I used Weldon 4 to adhere the acrylic together and then I put a thick bead of Weldon 16 under and around the edges. I didn't add a piece on the bottom because I didn't want to displace the acrylic. But I did think about it at the time. Then that would require me to flip the tank also.

    Frustration to the 10th Power

I am officially mad. Found this on the the side panel. I believe is weldon, correct, I know it's Weldon 16.

ah man that sucks. When I moved last, the moving company built a wooden crate around my tank. As they were screwing everything together I asked if the screws were protruding through the thin wood. The said no. Sure enough when I got moved into my new place I had about a 3-4 inch scratch on the front glass. I was pissed but it's not super noticeable unless you are looking for it.

Well this one is noticeable. When I move it into the house the guy said he will fix it for me and assured me not to worry. I should've kept the paper on it until I made it into the house. UUUGGGHHHHHHHH

Well, at least its fixable and in comparison to the rest of the tank, small... Still, feel your pain. Gosh, this has been coming a long time... must say i'm pretty anxious to see this thing in place too and it's not even mine! lol
