Reef Bruh's 600 Gallon Upgrade

Your mental alarm went off, sweet. But I thank you for the motivation on pushing me until Sunday. I was going to fill it earlier but with the ups and downs I was like nope, epsilon wants it Sunday, dang it he will get his request met. The only way water is not staying in is if I tear the tank down or upgrade to a larger tank. My dream tank is one that I can make the same size but rimless. As for the tank entering the house, I have to prepare the room before that happens and modify the stand in the room now. I don't want to get the tank in the room and do stuff around it. My luck, I'll scratch it.

Good news Bruh! I feel the old man momentum rolling in your favor now. This thing is going to be great and you will have tons to be proud of. When do you think you will get to tackle the room/stand?

 

It feels good to see things going my way at the moment I will have the floors, base boards and crown molding done next month. The stand will be completed and painted afterwards and put back together and placed in the room. Then I will have a tank move in party.

been a long time coming for you man. glad it's going your way finally. think i might have sucked away some of the bad mojo from ya so you may be good for a while. Unfortunately that means my LED build is getting either pushed back or slashed in 1/2 for now. Stupid life stuff. oh well

 

Other than my tank issues I have had some life issues also especially health. Give some of bad mojo back so you can motivate me mentally. I am truly stressed and impatient. I just noticed you are from Toledo, I am originally from Lorain. Hang in there, I got your back homie.

 

Ozone? Pros and Cons

I have been considering running ozone on my tank. I have heard the pluses of ozone like water clarity and algae control and the negatives like no effect on algae control, killing bacteria, affecting skimmate, and worse case scenario over dosing killing all your animals. I also read that its better running ozone through a reactor than your skimmer for better results. I would like to hear from the experts who is running ozone for some hints and advice.

 

New Additions

Since my 225 is my growing tank, I thought I'd try some chalices. So far I can only keep a couple. I got this one from a fellow reefer.

I think he called this a watermelon or reverse watermelon chalice.


I got this one a year ago and don't know the name.
