Reef cleaners order arrived :) have some questions

well my reef cleaners order arrived right on time.. Thanks john.

i got some mangroves and my question is.. which side is the top side?

(which side im i supposed to put into the sand? pointy part? or thick part?)

i will be adding them to my display how long till i see some leaves?.. (month?) just wondering..

 

The pointy end is the top. I just got my first leaf the other day. Been almost 2 months. Roots are about 4 inches long.

 

How many did you end up getting?

 

10 mangroves. two months and only one leaf? this is going to be a long wait lol;D

um also my lights are on right now as they acclimate to temperature is that ok?

 

The light is no biggie for now. All they need right now is water.

They get a pretty good root system growing before they sprout leaves. Most of mine are sprouting leaves now. They are all growing at pretty much the same rate. Hopefully, they will all be leaved out by next week.

I have a mangrove forest. I have a 30 Long with 75 of them in there. Should be good for some export.

 

75? lol thats many.

 

+1 thanks jonjon...couldn't have said it better. root growth is more important than leaves, but mist the seeds for best results.
