    hmm....they can start like that underwater, but it isn't advisable to keep them that way....not in such a deep tank at least. What does the back left/right hand corner of your tank look like? got any rocks that go up to almost the surface?

    i have two corner overflows that i might be able to stick them to.. is it ok if they almost touch the light bulbs?

    oh i know.. yea.. ill use the (things that put water back in the tank) with some rubber band to hold them there. is it ok if i put many in one place? like 5 with one rubber band?

    yeah that works. you can also use the plastic thin stints (is that the word?) they use for trees, cut it to size and rubber band them to that. If you place it so the bottom of the seed and the stint are blocked by rock it will still look good. Have it come up the middle and eventually it will look nice.
