The wave box idea is another that we've been kicking around, just never had the perfect application. I watched just about every video I could find on youtube, crawled the web looking for as much information as I could find about it, and kind of built off what I knew of the Tunze boxes. I just never like the look of anything in the tank, and they're not nearly big enough for this, so it had to be external. Basically, there is an 8"x8"x32" box on the back of the tank with a 2.5" hold drilled to connect it to the tank, about 14" off the bottom. (You can see this hole in one of the pictures) A Tunze 6305 (7,800gph) fires from inside the box, into the main tank, until it drains the wave box, then the pump shuts down and repeats once the box fills again. Just like the Tunze box, but "grande".

Added a pair of Choati leopard wrasses, (3) Hawaiian flames, and a couple of tangs (clown and a blonde naso) as well as a few corals... We couldn't stand seeing it empty any longer. (3) 250w halides should be here next week, along with the Tunze 6305/controller...

You guys did a great job with the aqua scape. Yuo can't please everyone, but I love it. Very open and "cavy" on the bottom, lots of sand... love it. Can't wait to see it stocked.
