Hello everyone it has been a while since I posted here, been pretty busy.
I am looking at getting the reef keeper lite L3 and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it good or bad.

    Thanks.

I do.. I like it.. Its a little tough to figure out the alarms and timer settings, but with a little playing you get the hang of it.. Kind of like when you get a new cell phone.. it gets easier..

Here is mine out of the box..

I would never buy anything from Digital Aquatics after their latest stunt. Even though you have the 'net module, you can't configure the unit over the web page (even with the newest firmware they are releasing with the 'net module / webpage update), you have to use the myReef software which won't even be out until later in 2010 and even then you have to hardwire to the unit itself. Kind of dumb and pointless at that point to have the 'net module. Yet at the same time, they have the spare time on their hands to introduce the HerpKeeper.

I have the L3 and love it. Learning to program it was tricky at first but once I did a few pumps and lights it became familiar and is now easy. Pretty slick device for a good price.

DA is indeed slow to fulfill their promise of a software package which will permit configuring/changing the controller remotely. Until then the remote monitoring and trending functionality are working well.

While it is true that the Net module does not come with wireless functionality, a simple & inexpensive adapter from ASUS (or others) solves that issue....it is working well for me as my equipment room is outside of the house and at the opposite end from where the router currently sits.

I've been waiting for DA to get the HerpKeeper on the market...I'll be using it to monitor the temp/humidity in the equipment room and start the fans as necessary.

At this time, the RKE & RKL are only programable from the head unit. The software to program from a Windows based machine is still vapor ware. To program from an Apple based machine is only on the wish list....
