after asking about a heater controller, ontop27 recommended I look into the reef keeper lite basic system. It looks awesome and I'm really interested in it. I'm also very confused by it lol. I really like that it is completely upgradable and that it can grow with me. As of yet I don't even know what some of the stuff it can do even is:-/ Here is the stuff I am interested in it doing:

    1. Control heaters
    2. auto top off- what upgrades are needed for this?
    3. waver maker settings- better than jbj?

I don't need it to control my lights. I just got the vega and controller so that should be fine. Is there anything else I should think about doing with it? It has a total of 4 controllable outlets. thanks everyone

It can controll your heater, you can set a temp you want your reef to stay at and it will run your heater on and of for you. As for the ATO you need a floatswitch and your golden. Wave maker I believe it has more features then the JBJ but in the end I believe there about the same thing

Possibilities are endless (at least in my opinion with this setup). I have it and 2 PC4 powerstrips. You can graph your pH and temp if hooked up to computer. Can have multiple float switches (1 for killing the return pump/1 for ATO). Wavemaker setting, lots of capabilities.

Its expensive setup, but I like it. :)

Glad I could help :).. Mine does my return, lights, heater, and turns fan on when tank hits a certain temp. I just bought another pc4 so it can do more. Oh it also tracks my ph
