Are you aware of the reliability of an aqaualifter?

What if the poser goes out? What if algae, moss, snails get on the sensor, etc.

Hey Todd, thing is for me I don't have space in my tank for a 7-8" plastic float valve, and I don't have anywhere above my tank to mount a top off res.. I had to go with the Aqualifter because it lets me set my res and pump on the counter behind my tank at the same level and still gets the job done. I actually am about to order one of those switches you use since I'm going to upgrade my 10 gallon to a 10 gallon on a stand with a 10 gallon display fuge.

 

Yes, understood, lots of different set ups.

My float valve is in my sump, and one in my resevoir, that I usually keep the valve from the RO/DI closed- for those Murphys law moments ;-)
