Can you have T5 lighting for a reef tank? And are there any lighting systems that won't break my bank yet provide good light to corals?

Tank is 75 gallons with roughly 100 lbs of live rock, wet dry filter with bio balls, protein skimmer. Right now the lights I have is a Lightning Rod 1100 ultra day daylight and a power glow both 48" I've had my tank for about 2 years and have been adding live rock throughout that time. I just haven't had the cash to get it all up and running at once. I originally was gonna go with a FOWLR tank, but have been having seconds thought about going with a reef tank as I've been thinking about my aquascaping.

I would go with a T5 setup, Tek are very good, but there are a bunch of others. I would also go with a 6 bulb setup, will allow you to keep many different types of corals, sps, lps, even clams.
