    If you want to get elaborate, multiple half pipe shaped lenses running back and forth on a track over the length of the tank under the florescent tubes would probably work. . . if that made sense to anyone else. In my head, it seems pretty sweet.

    I'm a teenage squid when it comes to knowledge...but I run 2 actinic and 2 18K T5HO on mine. I had PCs but wanted better especially with a 55 gal tank that is 48X13X22 or so. The height was my decision to leave PCs and the price and temperature of Halides led me to T5HOs.

    guess i'm the oddball yet again running 4 36" PC's, and 2 72" VHO's over my 125. the retro PC's fit way too perfect in my 2 compartment hinging top to pass up, and the VHO setup I got in a trade. I really like the contrast of the 2 and the end result I get is very pleasing to the eye.

    I seem to get shimmer in the upper half of my tank with everything on in the day, and always at night with 6 x moon light packs.
