I was under the impression that you get good karma for doing good things for other folks, not for them agreeing with how you want to set up you tank, but then according to my kids I was around when we had dinosaurs for pets.......(no disrespect at all

im kinda upset that there was no karma giving because im at 998
No, not fish swimming in front of a wall of rock like in most fish tanks (no disrespect at all),

I dont really get what is trying to be said right now or what you are trying to say but that was just a compete joke. I would never just ask for karma. If anything, i wouldnt want it for some stupid stuff like that. I take pride in my karma as everyone else on this web site and i think ones karma level says a lot about someone so if you have a problem about mine, id be more than happy to hear about the complaint. And im sorry your kids are under that impression ;D

Here is an idea, and I am just spit-balling here...

What if you put a piece of glass on top of the aquarium so you could look down from the top? Like this: [IMG]

Only problem would be aquascaping and cleaning... hrmm...

Perhaps just a glass box you hold on top of the water would be better.

I really dig new ways of looking at things. There is something in this i reckon, would the benefit be that you can see clearly through the surface of the water? Maybe there will be a small issue with surface water gas exchange but maybe not? As for cleaning, it could be something u remove easy enough to clean when u clean the front glass. K+ good idea ;)

You would be able to see as easily through the top as you would through the sides.

You would have less gas exchange through the surface but I think a good skimmer would fix that.

It would have to be water proof so making it removable would be a problem.

I think a glass box open on the top that floated just below the surface would work better. It would solve the problem of being removable and still allow you to see from the top.

check this out. i saw one at a local fish store--tanks are made specifically so that the water is undisturbed on top and you can view the fish. honestly, it's one of the most beautiful ways to display that I have seen...i dunno about maintenance though:

these pics don't do it justice, have to see for yourself
