Looking good and nice reef radiance light! Pistol shrimps are pretty awesome and keep that sand nice and aerated. But mine has done a number on moving sand and throwing it all over lol

I was hoping to make it SPS dominated, but we'll see how that goes. So far, the blasto frag is doing fantastic. Its been in there for less than a month (I think) and its already got two baby polyps on it. I'll probably add a couple more frags of other LPS before I start spending the money on nicer SPS/LPS frags.

Yeah, we were all pretty excited to add a goby/pistol pair. And I was pretty amazed at how fast they paired up (I bought them at separate times, at different stores). When they paired, it was as if they were always paired........went straight to work!

But man they move some sand! It was pretty annoying at first, and I was definitely questioning our decision, but the water is clearing up more and more as the days go by.

It's one of the cooler things that I have seen within reef aquariums. When a pistol shrimp and a goby pair up it is like they were always meant to be. It's fun to watch the goby peek out the holes and be "on the look out" for predators. My sand has been looking better and better since the pistol shrimp has been doing work even though the rest of my aquascape took a hit. Looks like I just dumped my rocks in there and some sand over top in places. I swear one day the pistol was so unsatisfied that he covered up all the holes with the goby trapped in there with him lol Sure enough though he eventually made another cave and the goby came out.

Dude, I know. The day after we got him, my wife texted me at work: "The shrimp has been busy!" When I got home, the tank was trashed! There was sand EVERYWHERE. We have this joke that the shrimp wants to be a professional hotel room trasher, like George Jones, and he's practicing in our tank.

Added a Pink Torch today. Really like the Euphyllias, but was holding out for something other than green this time. Was in the right place at the right time for this one:

So I think Im done adding things for now, going to let things settle in and breathe for a little while. : )

They are busy little creatures that never seem happy with their environment so they are always constantly changing it but whatever floats their boat lol

That pink torch is awesome and looks great! What kind of clowns are those?

True percs. I was never a clownfish person, and I thought my kids would be the ones to go for them, but my wife actually picked these out. Didn't really care for the other varieties, but these are really nice.
