So my kids were running around and playing like they normally do. And while I was doing a water change, I took fast notice to one of the toys they were playing with!

Dude! This thing is AWESOME for getting detritus out of the sump! And I think it came from the 99 cent store! Totally worth it to look like a bad parent and steal my kids toys!

A couple updates. I might have said this before, but I've added what I think are the last of the corals for a while. Got a SUPER sweet deal from a guy in SF........A yellow stylo, Oregon tort, rainbow stylo, and three signature zoas for 80 bucks. So, picture time!

Red planet, Oregon tort, and Joe (one of my favorite shots so far):

This is my favorite frag so far, I cant believe I almost threw it out. It got so bleached and receded, the only reason I kept it was to see what would happen!

Update time, its been a while.

Made quite a few changes. I added another WP10 and changed from IO to Reef Crystals. I feel like things are finally starting to move forward a little. Parameters are much more stable, and the corals seem to respond much better to the improved distribution of flow.

I also felt my previous aquascape was wasting a lot of the real estate and caused to much shadowing. Im WAY more satisfied with the new scape:

Mummy eye has grown a little, not as obvious in this pic, but it has doubled in size and gone from 1 to about 9 eyes.......it has kept its color nicely:

White velvets have also kept their colors nicely so far:

Getting some decent growth from this Joe, and the blue is coming out more:

And finally, this pathetic Red Planet.......it has literally zero growth in the couple months Ive had it. There should be a NON growth contest for corals!

Nice update. So do you still like the WP10? Your Setosa is pretty cool looking.

    Thanks!

I do like the WP10. Considering the price, I think they work pretty well and don't leave too much of an eye sore. I'd recommend them to anyone not wanting to spend big $ on the other pumps. The only real downfall is that I needed two to get the flow right. It may just be because I have a cube that I need two pumps, but considering how small they are, I'm not complaining.

The setosa is definitely a different type of coral, its growth is weird, but its cool. Its my wife's favorite coral, and they're pretty cheap!
