I recently bought a 20L from Petco's $1 per gallon sale and was wondering if anyone knows, or has, this skimmer in a 20L. The website says it has a footprint of 12"x8.5" and the 20L measures 12 1/2" wide. i wanted to partition of my 20L and give it a 10" long section and put it in a 12"Wx 10"L section.

will this work or, is the skimmer a bit too long to fit in this way since the inside of the tank measures exactly 12" wide?

here is a link to the skimmer:

I run my Reef Octopus 6" in this size sump, however it has the Bubble Blaster pump on it. Same body, and mounting system as yours. Just turn the whole thing on a diagonal near one of the ends and it fits fine.

EDIT: Should clarify that my skimmer section is exactly the dimensions you listed and it does fit. Just verify that it will fit with your pump, as that may affect it a tad.

I had mine in a larger sump, but for the record, it's an amazing skimmer. I loved mine.
