    looking to buy this skimmer for my 75 gallon mixed reef i am setting up, any thoughts or personal experience with this skimmer?

    I don't and have the bh2000 but do have the bh1000 on my 40breeder.It is a good quality unit and I believe it to be a very good choice for anyone without a sump.The surface skimming intake works very well and is large enough to not be a problem to use without an auto topoff to keep the water level exact.I am not using the provided foam pad on the return,the unit did produce some microbubbles in the tank on the first day of use,but no problem since.This skimmer is quiet,much better than both the prism and bakpak units that I have used in the past.It hasn't produced much skimmate as of yet but it has only been one week since installed and my tank is pretty clean.I did notice better water clarity within 24 hours,within 2hours on the surface.
