Reef Octopus Diablo 160xs Setup??

Where should the bubble level be set for this skimmer? Instructions are not very good and I am unsure where this should be set.

 

Are you asking about the water level inside the skimmer at initial setup or about the water level of the sump?

 

I think your asking about the water level internally and i would set that to be just a inch or so below where the skimmer body meets the collection cup.

 

Heres what i found from the manual from the skimmer. so adjust until its at the part where the skimmer body starts transistioning into the neck.....


6. Put the skimmer in sump and plug it in. Water level in the sump should be 6”-10” as long
as it is not covering the water outlet pipe. Turning the adjusting pipe to adjust the water
level for skimming. The water level inside the skimmer should be right where the neck
transition starts for the initial setup.
7. Please allow 3-4 weeks break in period. Then adjust the pipe to your water level
preference for skimming.

Well I got the skimmer going tonight and would like your opinions on the water level. Do I have it set correctly?

 

You dont see that thing on the side that says Min water level?
