    Hi!

I have just received my Reef Octopus Skimmer 200, and I have to say, I was impressed by the size of it, Whooaaa.

However, I have it running since 12 hours now and don’t notice much foam. Is that normal? How long will it take before reaching the collection cup?
It is deep in 11inches of water in my sump, my DT is 100 gals, will it be ok? Also I thought the water coming out from the output pipe would be more

    Thanks

All skimmers have a break-in period. It may take your skimmer awhile to get to it's full skimming potential.

Their are a lot of Octopus owners on this board, so someone else may chime in.

i run the reef octopus extreme 300 and i found that it took me almost a week to start getting ok skimmate however it is nowhere near what i recieved from my asm g2. i have also noticed that the skimmign is greatly dependant on the water level in my sump. however i am not convinced that the lack of skimmate that i am recieving is nt due to it still needing to break in a little more.
