I just setup a 210 gallon tank with sump. The protein skimmer collection cup keep filling with water and overflowing. I tried adjusting using the water adjustment but still overflowing. This tank was just started. New to saltwater and not sure what to do or if this is part of the break in process. Skimmer is setting in the sump.

What is the level of the water in your sump (how deep in water is your skimmer)? I'd advise not skimming while cycling. You want all that funkiness in your tank for the bacteria to start up with and eventually take care of.

7 inches. I plan to shut it off once I figured it out.

Like any skimmer, it will need a few days to break in. Being a new tank, I don't think there will be anything for it to skim so you're prone to set the water height too high in order to make the bubbles hit the column. Another thing that will make skimmers go crazy are additives to the water.
