Do you guys think this would be better than my bullet 2? Kinda getting tired of tuning that thing.

I have dealt with PM. Great company. Honestly, I'm no fan of injection type skimmers. Too finicky and too power hungry. Plenty of proven venturis to choose from. This one looks promising too.

    I'm a bone head.:-[

I think in terms of suction head increase, but that is wrong. I can't let misinformation stand.

Raising or lowering the skimmer effects the amount of skimmer that is out of the water. That determines head pressure against the pump.

The higher the skimmer (lower water level) , the more skimmer out of the water, the higher the head pressure against the pump, the lower the air draw, the dryer the skimmate.

The lower the skimmer, (higher water level), the LESS head pressure to work against, the higher the flow from the pump, and higher air draw. But the skimmer will run wetter and process more water. (given you do not change the valve or wedge pipe)

    Sorry for the confusion guys.

Sorry matt, the excitement of the new octopus skimmer perhaps being better and a good replace for the bullet got us talking. Can you move the posts into a new thread?
