Reef Safe Aggressive Fish?

What are some reef-safe aggressive fish for a 28 gal nano?

I have a pair of aggressive clowns. They killed my firefish which was too peaceful. Looking for something that can stand on its own, to give it a shot in the tank. I may have to coral the clowns in a breeders net for a few days.

 

Dottyback is an excellent choice as is a sixline wrasse.Both of which can hold there own.Damsel is also an option.

I have had the 28 gallon. I will say that no fish was able to stand up against my established mature clowns, that goes for all inverts (shrimp, hermits....) and sometime corals. Eventually my tank had two clowns/pair and corals and that is it.


If I had to try two other fish I would go with Vinny's suggestion.

 

I had a purple/yellow pseudo chromis at one point that was really mean. It chased clowns all over the tank for no reason at all. The clowns were only slightly bigger than he was, if that makes a difference. FYI once he's in the tank you will never get him out without tearing it down. You have been warned lol.
