What are some reef safe aggressive fish that I can put in a 55 not including tangs?

Dwarf lions, frogfish, some scorpions. Depending what you mean by "reef safe" you may consider some of the smaller puffers I believe that just means you may not be able to keep snails/shrimp/inverts like that.

If you just mean aggressive and not necessarily predatorial then you could look at pseudochromis/dottybacks or damsels.

    Just some ideas.

I like the psuedochromis and dottybacks idea. It would have to be invert safe also

Clowns, damsels, basslets, dwarf angels (still risky), hawkfish, marine betta.
Puffer fish will not be safe around SPS as well (they use them to maintain their beaks). No lionfish in a 55 IMHO. The "dwarf" is misleading, they grow to 9" :(

I lost a coral beauty today :(, it got beat up over time and after i rescaped and added more rock the other day even more. Today it was in bad shape and i moved it to my fuge and the small damsel I had in the fuge finished him off when I left the house after :(. No more dwarfs. A flame hawk might be nice, couple chalk basslet or maybe some anthia
