Reef Safe Butterfly

    Longnose bflys are not reef safe. Copperbands are, as long as you don't care about featherdusters (never seen any that eat a live clam, but some have eaten acans ), and pyramids are actually the only planktivore of the butterflies. The heniochus are planktivores as well, but outside of those 3, not really any else are.

    You will find more reef safe angelfish than reef safe butterflies.


    Then there is the whole issue that fish don't read books, so if one gets a taste for something it is not supposed to eat, then it does not know better.

    Heck, I have seen a few purple tangs that have been known to eat corals.
