Hi, guys just wondering if Elmers Stix all cement gel is reef safe, main ingrediant is Methyltriacetoxysilane

    thanks a bunch in advanced.

Note: it says waterproof so i'm hoping it sticks underwater just making sure it wont kill things.

Not too sure about that particular product. I know Super Glue Gel is reek safe. Just cross check the ingredients of the two products and if they are the same, you should be ok. Don't use it until you know for sure though...not worth the risk!

You want glue that is cyanoacrylate. I wouldn't use the Elmer's.

+1 on the above. Cyanoacrylate is the good stuffs. make sure it is the Gel formula. the liquid just dont work well. I use the gel underwater and it works GREAT>

You can also use the brown gorilla glue, but it has to be completely dry before you put it in the water (24hr+ sometimes). Not good for corals, but if you have base rock you want to glue, or you're making something like an eggcrate box.

i was trying to glue some frag plugs. Thanks for all the info everyone. I went ahead and got some proper glue gel i didn't want to risk it BUT i did contact Elmer's and this is wat they sent me in case anyone is ever intrested.

    Dear Estefany,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Elmer's Stix-All is a solvent free product that does not contain copper. It is slightly acidic. However it is not expected to be harmful in your tank.

    Sincerely,

Cynoacrylate gel is the best for that purpose anyways.
