I have a red sea max full of corals. I was wondering what you guys and gals add to your water change h20 to keep your corals healthy?

Personally I have never heard of dosing water change water, and I would recommend that you don't do it. The reason is that chemically you can cause a precipitation event if you add something to water that is already mostly maxed out as far as which ions it can hold. Or whatever you are adding can bind to other free ions in the newly made water.

When you dose, you should dose to the tank where the minerals etc. are being used.

That being said what do you dose then?

I just dose Kalkwasser now, but have dosed sugar, trace, CaCl2, Baking Soda, epsom salts MgCl2 on my larger systems past. I have a small tank now, so I just keep up on my water changes to make sure my trace minerals are in order. But dosing them isn't a bad idea. Not sure on how big the effect is, but it's most likely worthwhile.
