reef tanks and cats

    My cat just sits and looks at the tank.... I think he's working on a plan?????

    I had this problem in the past. I took duct tape and put it upside down on the top of the tank so when the cat jumps up it will get stuck to the tape. Don't know if you have ever seen a cat with tape on it's paws but they DO NOT like it.
    Well that took care of the top of the tank after only two times, now it was pawing at the front of the tank and scaring the fish. I then took the duct tape and turned it so that the sticky part was facing forward and tucked the two ends so that it would hold it to the glass. After only one time of coming home from work finding the cat with tape stuck all over it, I never had another problem with the cat.

    Fortunately my tank has a full vented cover.

    My cats (4) often sit on chair nearby and gaze for hours at the fish activity.

    Actually the fish seem to put on a display for them...:confused:
