Me too! Hoping the cycle will be done just as I return from holiday vacation.

    Thanks!

Really, really want the Radion Gen2, but obviously they're $$$. I'm now sorta leaning towards a controllable Reefbreeders fixture. I still want to do some more research before I make a decision. However, the money I would save going with the RB would pay for my Vortech....so that's pretty darn enticing!

Ya I feel ya, sure as hell they are nice but man, $$! Have you looked into Rapids Onyx? They look promising!

I have not... The darn Radion showed itself as soon as this build started progressing and I've been blindsided and drooling ever since. I know there's a lot of options for this size tank though. My main concerns are 1) balanced light coloration and 2) control ability. If I have to pay a little more to get those and be happy then so be it. I figure I've already invested this much, and I'm on a mission to avoid upgrades down the road!!

So my Eheim 1048 pump is barely producing any real output in the display. The overflow is super quiet b/c the water is barely moving over it. The vertical travel between sump and return is about 3-4'. I'm guessing that I went too small, yeah?

FWIW, Im using Rio HF10 as the return pump on my 90 gallon, its pushing 320gph or so, so its not much. How much actual water do you think the sump is gonna hold? The return pump should be determined by the sump water volume.

My sump, after equipment & rock, probably holds ~10G of water. I honestly never heard of determining the return pump size from sump volume :-/

Any other input on the Eheim 1048 too small as a return?

Based on that spec sheet I think it can barely get over the head height.

Pretty much what I was thinking too....and seeing. Now I'm just ticked off at myself b/c I researched specs and don't know how I thought that was the right pump! No worries, maybe I can use it for my reactor.

Need some suggestions for plumbing my return through the euro-brace.

The loc-line set-up was the intent, however I didn't really think about how the hose would run off the top. I don't want it sticking straight up like an eye sore...

Is there a way to make it 90 somehow, or at least get more low profile?
