Only on true live if you're lucky. Mostly a macroalgae thang. Base rock is deader than dead. There is nothing on it. You have to rinse it very well in RODI water, but that is about it. Just get the dust off of it and you're good to go. Can you take a picture of it and post it on the thread so I can see what it looks like. I was thinking about getting some for my new tank set up here. Yet another 10g is on the way up.

Add a little at a time to avoid a cycle. If you suspect unwanted creatures like aiptaisia I would bleach that rock.. clean it up before adding.

I would just rinse thoroughly in RO water, and add to the tank. There won't be a cycle as there will be no die off - it's already dead rock. Over the course of the next month or so, it will become live rock as bacteria grows on it. You can put it in with your existing livestock. Let us know how the rock looks when you get it, I'm interested in purchasing some of their rock myself.

I will get a friend from the Cherokee Shop to come and snap a pic and post it when the rock is first in and once a month so you can see the progress
